The Almonte Civitan Club has agreed to donate a total of $50,000 to the Almonte General Hospital/Fairview Manor Renovation Project. The original commitment was to donate $10,000 a year for each of 5 years. With the success of many of the clubs fundraising projects they were able to reduce that and complete their $50,000 in two years.
The donated money was specifically earmarked to sponsor the cafeteria at the Fairview Manor. A plaque recognizing the donation is proudly displayed above the doorway to the room.
