The Almonte Civitan Club has received the ranking of Helmsman in honour of their fundraising efforts for the Civitan International Research Center.
Donating an average of $25 per club member, the Almonte club has surpassed last years total to reach to this new level.
The UAB Civitan International Research Center (CIRC) is the flagship program of Civitan International. This world-class medical research facility, located at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, is dedicated to researching the causes and treatments for a wide range of developmental and cognitive disabilities, such as autism, Down syndrome, Alzheimer’s disease, brain tumors, and traumatic brain injuries.
