On October 22, 2010 the Almonte Civitan Club hosted an Oktoberfest dinner and dance. An excellent feast of cabbage rolls, sausages, delicious potatoes, sauerkraut and red cabbage and a variety of cakes was enjoyed by the sold out crowd of over 250 guests who attended. After dinner they all danced to the lively music of THE RIVALRY GROUP and even had a POLKA or 2.
Chairperson Martha Coulton and her committee were very excited and pleased with the success of the event and the large turnout claiming “It was an overwhelming success”.
Profits from the event will be used to support the variety of projects throughout the year.
Watch for a “SECOND ANNUAL OKTOBERFEST” next year.
